We're making some changes.
We’re making some changes to how we work, estimate, and invoice — all in an effort to streamline processes and improve delivery.
In Short: What’s Changing (and Why It’s Better)
- Hourly Rate Increase
- We’re updating our rate to better reflect our experience, skillset, and to remain competitive with industry standards.
- Minimum Charges
- Helps ensure all work is covered fairly and allows more focus on meaningful, uninterrupted project time.
- Lead Times
- By setting clearer lead times, we can avoid last-minute pressure, prioritise quality, and provide more accurate timings for all clients.
- Support Retainers
- A simpler way to keep your site maintained and secure without the need for separate quotes or invoices.
- Retainers & Time Blocks
- Two flexible ways to book work in advance – ideas for regular or ad-hoc design and support needs.
These changes come into effect from 1 August, 2025.
Hourly Rate Increase
From Friday 1 August, 2025, the standard hourly rate will increase from £44.10 per hour to £60 per hour.
- Hourly Rate: £60/hour
- Minimum charge: 1 hour per task/request
This rate applies to all design, development, and support work unless covered by a specific package or retainer, including email support.
Availability and Scheduling
To keep things balanced, we now require at least one week’s lead time (7 business days) for new work. Quick turnarounds may not always be possible — booking in advance is the best way to guarantee availability.
Our new retainer and time-blocks are a great way to ensure faster turn-arounds.
Technical Support & Maintenance
We’ve streamlined our support offering by replacing fixed-price packages with a simple, flexible Support Plan.
Every new website includes 30 days of support and maintenance after launch. Beyond that, continued support is available through a monthly retainer or billed at the standard hourly rate.
Support Retainers can be used across static, WordPress, or Shopify websites.
Monthly Support Plan - £150/month
Includes up to 3 hours of technical support each month, covering:
- WordPress core and plugin updates
- Troubleshooting and error fixes
- Minor content changes
- Regular site backups (where possible – see terms and conditions)
Please note: This plan does not include new feature development, design work, performance tuning or UX improvements.

Retainers & Time Blocks
Flexible ways to work together — designed for clarity, consistency and momentum.
Not every project needs to be a full website build — and not every request should go through a fresh proposal. To simplify things, I now offer two structured ways of working: Monthly Retainers and Pre-Paid Time Blocks.
Retainers
A retainer is an ongoing agreement that secures a set number of hours each month for your use. It offers a lower hourly rate in exchange for a consistent monthly commitment (minimum 3 months).
Ideal for:
Clients with regular, recurring needs — such as marketing teams, agencies, or businesses running ongoing campaigns.
Benefits:
- Guaranteed time reserved each month
- Priority scheduling and turnaround
- Lower hourly rate (discounted for longer commitments)
- Ideal for batching updates and visual content
- Better planning, fewer admin delays
Pre-Paid Time Blocks
Time blocks are a one-off purchase of hours, valid for 30 days. They give you flexibility without a monthly commitment — ideal for short bursts of activity or grouped requests.
Ideal for:
Clients with occasional or campaign-based work who want more structure than hourly billing.
Benefits:
- Book work in advance without long-term contracts
- Batch together smaller tasks
- More efficient than hourly back-and-forth
- Great for ad creative, quick content changes, or visual assets

Which one is right for me?
| Time Blocks | Monthly Retainers | |
|---|---|---|
| Commitment | One-off, flexible | Monthly, 3-month minimum |
| Best for | Campaign bursts, short-term needs | Ongoing design support, recurring needs |
| Scheduling | Based on availability | Priority scheduling |
| Hourly Rate | Standard (£60/hr) | Discounted (£50-55/hr depending on plan) |
| Lead Time | 7 days | 3-5 days, often faster |
| Unused Time | Must be used within 30 days | Up to 25% rollover per month* |
* Rollover Policy
Up to 25% of unused hours can roll over into the following month only. Rollover time does not accumulate beyond that — any hours not used within that month will expire.
Example: On a 10-hour/month plan, if you use only 7 hours, up to 2.5 hours can roll over into the following month. But those 2.5 hours must be used in the next month — they won’t carry over again after that.
